Agli inizi dell'Ottocento questa elegantissima casa era la residenza
privata del Console d'Austria a Venezia. Il restauro conservativo
eseguito da ditte specializzate ha messo in luce tutti gli antichi
stucchi e le pareti splendidamente dipinte con tecniche di affresco, gią
cadute in disuso nel '900 perchč troppo costose ed impegnative. Ogni
camera si distingue dalle altre per gli stucchi ed il colore (colori
pastello tenui come si usava a quei tempi). Gli arredamenti, abilmente
restaurati, sono originali di quel periodo ed i tessuti sono stati
scelti ad hoc per ogni camera. Il risultato finale lascia il fiato
sospeso, sembra di tornare indietro nel tempo ai fasti di quel secolo.
La locanda dispone di una grande hall, una sala colazioni e 8 camere
(tutte con bagno) doppie, triple o a quattro posti letto. La locanda,
piano nobile del palazzo, si affaccia su uno dei pił pittoreschi canali
di Venezia; č situata fra il Campo S. Maria Formosa e il Campo SS.
Giovanni e Paolo, a 5 minuti dal ponte di Rialto e non lontana da Piazza

At the beginning of eight hundred this very elegant house was the
private residence of the consul of Austria in Venice. The preservative
restoration, carried out by expert firms, has put in light all the
antique plasters and the walls splendidly painted with techniques of
fresco, just falled into disuse in nine hundred because too expansive
and exacting. Every room stands out from the others for the plasters and
the colors (pastel colours as was in use at that times). The forniture,
cleverly restored, are original from that period and the textiles have
been chosen ad hoc for every room. The final result leave you without
breath, it seems to return behind at the memorials of that century. The
hotel has available a large hall, a breakfast room and eight rooms (all
with bathroom), single, double, with three beds and with four beds. The
hotel, noble floor of the mansion, faces one of more picturescue canals
of Venice; it is placed between Campo Santa Maria Formosa and Campo SS.
