"Il Casale di Arturo" si trova nelle campagne adiacenti a Militello Rosmarino, immerso nella riserva settentrionale del Parco dei Nebrodi, su quelle rocce che dal Cozzo Picasi degradano verso il letto del fiume Rosmarino. Attorno vi sono degli splendidi vigneti ed antichi uliveti, boschi di querce e di faggi, meta ideale per gite ed escursioni.

Forse nessun'altra regione al mondo ha avuto una storia così intensa e priva di pause come la Sicilia. Momenti splendidi e periodi di servitù, dominazioni e rivolte, incroci e sangue, culture e razze hanno creato quella "sicilianità" quasi leggendaria, che forse non esiste e che se esiste non è facilmente spiegabile. Ci sono solo due modi per tentare di venirne a capo: con le parole, innanzitutto, come hanno cercato di fare gli scrittori isolani, e poi con i luoghi, in grado di offrire ad un solo, rapido sguardo, contrasti e bellezze che meglio di ogni parola possono rendere comprensibile lo spirito della Sicilia e dei suoi abitanti.

  "Il Casale di Arturo" is situated in the country near Militello Rosmarino dipped in the northern reserve of Nebrodi Park, on those rocks which from Cozzo Picasi slope down to the Rosmarino river bed. All around are magnificent vineyards and old olive trees, oak and beech woods, the ideal place for trips and excursions.

No other place in the world has probably had such a rich and unrestful history as Sicily. Welfare moments and servitude periods, dominations and rebellions, crosses and blood, cultures and races have created that almost legendary "Sicilianity" which is not likely to exist or, if it exists, it is not easily explicable. There are only two ways to get to the bottonm of it: first, by words as the insular writers have tried to do and then through the places which, at a glance, are able to offer so different and beautiful lanscapes which can make the spirit of Sicily and its inhabitants more understandable.

  Das "Il Casale di Arturo" befìndet sich auf dem Land bei Militello Rosmarino inmitten des noerdlichen Naturschutzparks der Nebrodi-Berge auf den Felsen des Cozzo Picasi, die zum Flussbett des Rosmarino abfallen. Es ist umgeben von herrlichen Weinbergen und uralten Olivenhainen sowie Eichen- und Buchenwaeldem, die ideale Ausflugsziele bieten.

Wahrscheinlich hat kein anderes Gebiet der Welt eine so intensive Geschichte pausenloser Ereignisse aufzuweisen wie Sizilien. Zeiten hoechster Bluete im Wechsel mit Zeiten der Knechtschaft, Fremdherrschafìen und Revolten, Ueberkreuzungen mit anderen Rassen und Kulturen haben das fast legendaere, einmalige sizlianische Wesen geschaffen, dass so schwer zu erklaeren ist. Auf zweierlei Weise kann man ihm naeherkommen: durch die Werke der Schriftsteller dieser Insel, aber auch durch die Orte, die schon aufden ersten raschen Blick Kontraste und Schoenheiten offenbaren, die mehr als jedes Wort das Wesen Siziliens und seiner Bewohner erkennen lassen.
