Il B&B PLATAMON è vicino anche agli imbarchi del Molo Beverello e di Mergellina, per piacevoli escursioni alle isole del Golfo di Napoli e alla Costiera Sorrentina ed Amalfitana.

Il nome di Via Chiatamone deriva dal Greco "Platamon" per le sue numerose grotte, oggi diventate garage e botteghe, al tempo dei romani utilizzate come cisterne e vasche per allevamento dei pesci. Nel settecento diventò una strada celebre in tutta Europa per le sue ville ed i suoi alberghi.
