Montechiari, una vecchia casa colonica adesso ristrutturata nel tipico stile toscano, è situata nel cuore della campagna toscana ed in pratica a metà strada tra Firenze (25 KM) e Siena (35 KM). La Sua posizione privilegiata permette di raggiungere in poco tempo tutti i paesini e le città toscane più caratteristiche: Montefioralle, Badia a Passignano, Panzano, Radda, Castellina, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Volterra, Colle Val d’Elsa…… Da qui potete visitare anche tutti i castelli e le più famose Ville del Chianti: Verrazzano (qui visse Giovanni che attraversando l’Atlantico scoprì la Baia di New York), Vicchiomaggio, Vignamaggio (dove si dice abbia vissuto la Monna Lisa dipinta da Leonardo da Vinci), Meleto, Brolio,….. nonchè tutti i più famosi produttori di vino del famoso Chianti Classico e le relative Fattorie.

Only 500 metres from the famous Main Square of Greve, 200 metres from the bus stop from/to Florence, 200 metres from the public swimming pool, tennis and football court and at 200 metres from the Tourist Office. At 2 minutes’ walk you may rent bikes and motorbikes (50, 125, 250 cc.) for exploring the neighborhood. At 500 metres one of the biggest “Enoteca” of the Chianti region with wine books from the 1700, 1800 and 1900, permanent exposition of screwdriver, possibility for tasting more than 140 kind of different wines, olive oil, "vin santo" and assorted salami, and free consulting of the wine producer database.

From here you can quickly reach all the small villages (like Montefioralle, Badia a Passignano, Panzano, Radda, Castellina, Gaiole, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Volterra, Colle Val d'Elsa, Cortona.....) and towns (like Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Lucca.....) well known for their architecture and history. You can also visit all the famous Chainti Castles and Villas: Verrazzano (Giovanni, sailing through the Athlantic Sea and discovering the Bay of New York, has lived here for several years), Vicchiomaggio, Vignamaggio (where the Monna Lisa, painted from Leonardo da Vinci, lived), Meleto, Brolio (with its beautfull typical italian garden),….. and of course visit all the major Chianti Classico wine producer, their vineyard and cellars and where you may taste exquisite wine too.

Nur wenige Schritte entfernt haben Sie die Möglichkeit Fahrräder und Skooter (50,125 und 250 cc) auszuleihen, um die Umgebung auszukundschaften. In 500 Meter Entfernung haben sie die Möglichkeit eine der am Besten ausgestatteten Enotheken des Chiantigebietes zu besuchen, wo sich eine Weinbibliotethek mit Werken des 18, 19 und 20. Jahrhunderts befindet, sowie eine Dauerausstellung der Sammlunggsstücke von Korkenziehern, die Möglichkeit einer Verkostung der uber 140 sorten Weine, Öle, "vin santo" und Wurstwaren, Filmprojektionen und freie Einsichtnahame in die Datenbank „ Die Gusthöfe des klassischen Chianti“.

Seine privilegierte Position erlaubt es, in kurzer Zeit die charakteristichsten Dörfer und Städte der Toskana zu erreichen: Montefiorelle, Badia a Passignano, Panzano, Radda, Castellina, Monteriggioni, San Giminiano, Volterra, Colle Val D’ Elsa.... Von hier aus koennen sie auch die Schlösser un die bekanntesten Villen des Chianti besichtigen: Verrazzano(hier lebte Giovanni, der beim Überqueren des Atlantiks die Bucht von New York entdeckte), Vicchiomaggio, Vignamaggio (wie es heißt, hat hier die Leonardo da Vinci gemalte Monna Lisa gelebt), Meleto, Brolio,....sowie all die bekannten Weinproduzenten des famosen „Chianti Classico“ und ihre Gutshöfe.
